I regret not booking elsewhere. Our stay was disappointing and not worth the $270/night price tag. I tried to have fair expectations for a 3 star and was met with small disappointments that culminated in a frustrating last morning. Our visit ended on a very poor note.
We had a top floor room and were told how nice it would be not to have anyone above us. Unbeknownst to us, the hotel had roofers working right on top of our room the last day of our stay. We were literally startled awake at 8 am to the sound of a work site, with multiple footsteps, and very loud banging and hammering right on top of our room. I called the front desk to ask what was going on and their response was to apologize that they didn't give any notice, they had roofers working today and they had started early. The manager took 30% off our last night's rate (a whole $70) for the disruption. The work continued the rest of the morning. I understand repairs need to be made, but it's unacceptable to not even give your paying guests any notice, or to book them in a room directly under the work being done. I hoped to enjoy my last day of vacation, sleep in and relax. Instead I paid to wake up stressed and spend my morning trying to block out construction noise. $70 off my bill doesn't cut it.
Other gripes: housekeeping (when it did come) doesn't really clean the room or make the beds properly, they just throw the cover over the messy sheets and replace the towels. Bathroom could use a thorough clean.
