Zimmer sauber und gut. Essen könnte doch etwas besser sein!

We stayed for one night and wish we could have stayed longer. This hotel has a restaurant and the food was amazing. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had a private balcony. I definitely recommend this hotel and we will be going back If we have to be in the area.

This hotel has efficient and friendly staff who are multi-lingual. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast foods were typical of Germany, cold cuts, breads and brochen, cereals, fruit, cheese, yogurt. It was all very good. The coffee was decent and they offered many juice selections and tea and hot water as well. My room was on the first floor for which I was grateful since they don’t have a lift. The only thing I didn’t like was that my room overlooked the beer garden/smoking area. While it looks nice, the noise from restaurant patrons using the area was loud. My room didn’t have shutters and the drapes were too thin to keep the lights from the garden from letting a lot of light in. I prefer a dark room to sleep in and the light bothered me all night. The bed was very firm but not uncomfortable. I never had the chance to eat anything at the restaurant other than breakfast but it was busy so that is usually a good sign the food is good. The property is picturesque and pleasing. I would stay here again.

This is a really nice place. I do wish they had blackout curtains or he’s very curtains as the outside lights just shine right in and makes the room so bright. The food at the restaurant is really good! Staff are very pleasant. Breakfast is good.

Property was very nice. Great atmosphere. Issue with billing as they charge for breakfast separately, even if you don't eat. Original booking through Expedia said breakfast included.

Beautiful traditional building with a clean, comfortable room. Breakfast was excellent and the meals in the restaurant were very good. Easy to get into Kaiserslautern by train or bus; even hiked there one day. Very convenient to hiking trails with a ruined castle just up the hill.

The staff is very friendly and they are very helpful. For instance, I was going to take a bus to get to a car rental agency but I was offered a ride to the car rental agency about 10 to 15 minutes away by one of the owners! Amazing!

Well kept, traditional hotel in quieter location outside main city. Pretty outdoor areas and indoor seating, with rooms for larger events, but not imposing. For a single room, received double bedded room with pretty balcony and included fridge and microwave. Nice room and enjoyable one nights stay.

I totally enjoyed my stay. It was the third time that I visited Kasierslautern and stayed all three times at the Burgschanke Hotel. The hotel and restaurant have a very pleasant atmosphere. The service and the food were excellent all three times I visited. I highly recommend this property.
