The rooms were nice but there were ants all over the bathroom. And a microwave in the room would be nice also.
Looks like it was quickly put together. They did not pay attention to details. Our first room was moldy. Mold was in the A/C. They did quickly move us to new room. New room was up 4 flights of stairs and no elevator. The room door had a 1/4 gap where you could see in or out the door. Tv had bad signal. Balcony needed painting. Bath room door would not close good. The drinks at the Tiki Hut were over priced. The bartender was letting flys in the fruit for drinks. The counter was wet and sticky and the young man was more interested in talking to the girls at the end of bar rather than attending to customers. Also we were not told half the place was shutting down halfway thru our stay.
Very uncomfortable and noisy room. The bed was very uncomfortable, it kept sliding and moving with every small movement. The appliances were very outdated and not even a microwave provided. It was quite an expensive room for what it was.
After several days on road camping we enjoyed our luxury break staying on this property. The lobby area and food/bar areas are beautiful. Check in staff friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable with a balcony and peak of the water. My only complaint was the amount of trash on the roadsides and off edges of sidewalks - something I think a property of this status should attend to daily.
The property had plenty of activites for the family. Good value.
Nice and quiet. Weekend more for a younger crowd. Place where we stayed really not for older person. Lots of steps. But with that said, all great.
The listing was deceiving! We thought we were staying in a hotel, but our room was actually in a cabin like building a mile up a large hill away from everything. We thought we could just step outside right to our pool, but we had to load up the car and drive down and park on a hill and walk down. If we stayed in the hotel part this trip would have been awesome, but if you have to stay in the cabin, I would find somewhere else. However, you don’t know where you are until you check in
We were super disappointed in all honesty. We arrived on Thursday night, late arrival at 1am. We first got a “lake view” room at the estates that was more expensive than staying at the hotel itself. When we got there I thoroughly thought we were in a horror movie. This place looked like it hadn’t been touched in years. There was cob webs everywhere, spiders, bugs crawling around. The lights wouldn’t turn on in the room, and you couldn’t even see the lake because of all the trees! We went back to check in again and got our room switched to the hotel (cheaper room but paid the same price). When we got in there it looked fine but it wasn’t “fully renovated and amazing” like they claimed, unless they had different standards than most people. We thought it was fine until we saw that they had dirty towels in the bathroom that they forgot to pick up and there was hair everywhere. If I could get my money back and never stay there again I absolutely would because it was SO disappointing.
We love our round at The Oaks. Great course. Beautiful
