The Derby Hotel Louisville North

Wir haben das schoene Freibad sehr genossen und fast jeden Nachmittag am Pool verbracht. Das Schwimmbad liegt malerisch an einem kleinen See mit Sitzgelegenheiten. Das Zimmer war schoen und gross, es war sauber und ruhig gelegen. Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich (besonders Jesse) und die sehr freundliche Night Managerin hat jeden Nachmittag am Pool vorbeigeschaut ob alles in Ordnung war. Das Hotel hat einen grossen Parkplatz und eine gute Lage um Restaurants oder die Autobahn zu erreichen. Nach Louisville sind es nur ein paar Minuten Fahrt. Wir waren schon mehrmals hier und werden auch gerne wieder kommen.

Price discrepancy. They price gouged the room for the night. When I booked it was $182 with tax. The night I checked in it was listed for $124 with tax for the same night and for the next night - Sunday it was listed for $65 plus tax. The bathroom was not clean. White stuff on the faucet and black marks on the tub. The door to the bathroom was not even big enough for me to walk into with my arms at my sides. Had to walk into it sideways to get in. The counter in the bathroom was only 12 inches deep. The tub fixtures where not even secured to the walls of the tub. They had a hand bar in the shower that was in the way of actually using the shower. The outlet in the bathroom was not correct as when you plugged in something the plug actually fell out of the outlet. The heating/ac unit in the room was not properly working. It said it was 61 degrees in the room and we where sweating after only being room for a couple of minutes. The staff did not follow the COVID-19 restrictions and did not enforce it with the guest. They also had doors chained and locked so no one could enter or leave one of the main entrances to the hotel. This itself is a fire hazard in any state.

We stayed for a cheer competition. The pool facilities were very nice and open and clean. The lobby also seemed fairly updated and nice. However the hallways smelled of cigarettes and weed. The rooms were very old. The beds were double beds and the one made a horrible sound every time we sat on it. The rooms were small and there was a Coke cap and beer bottle cap on the floor.

The hotel is old and run down. The outside needs to be updated. The door to our room was hard to open and would get stuck. The white curtains had marks on them. The beds are small and the pillows were not comfortable. The hotel in general needs a good update

We stay at derby everytime we drive through to visit our sons in n.c. love this place . !!

Beautiful little diamond in the rough, updates are going on currently. Will definitely stay here again!!!!!

Exceptional

Nice hotel with incredible tiling on walls and floors, a bit run down but we can forgive that in the current environment. Room's AC was very loud and made us pretty uncomfortable. Should be serviced so as to not run so much.

Great stay. Kinda noisey because of it being so close to the interstate
