Terrible Hilton Experience
This was absolutely the worst Hilton experience I ever had. It seemed that everything came together in a perfect storm of disrepute. Terrible check in--gave me the wrong room, rude. Reneged on my view and gave me a room next to an elevator (not a pleasant sound 400 times a night) though I still had to pay full price. They ran out of basic supplies; there was a huge water leak; no enforcement of policies (felt like everyone was confused); constant lines.
The hotel restaurant had inconsistent times and service (understandable due to Covid; but folks should coordinate their messaging).
The best part was the coffee. Reasonably priced, wonderfully made. Kind-hearted baristas really saved a couple of my mornings.

I can’t remember the mans name at the front desk but he was so friendly and very professional. I really appreciated his customer service. He really seemed to care about making sure we had a wonderful stay. We checked in around 5 and he said his shift ended at 11

great service but.....
The room was good sized. Bathtub would not drain. Had 6 inches of water in tub when finished with shower. Manager on duty was very apologetic.

This hotel seemed a little “old world” with its mid century furnishings and gleaming silver colored ice bucket and accompanying silver colored salvor with cups. It was surprising, considering how big this hotel is, that there was no doorman on duty and minimal food available for cost. We were directed to eateries outside the hotel. The beds were super comfy and we probably got one of the better night’s sleep during our trip. Grateful for the one night respite!

we didn't go do to the virus. we had it planned but found out to be tested we had to wait 72 hrs. So we decided to wait until next year.

Stay at the Marriott.
If you don't mind be ignored when you ask for something and waiting 20 plus minutes for warm water in the shower the place is great. Older property needs some attention, especially in the hot water department.

Hotel staff was great, had to get keys programmed 3 times during stay of 48 hrs, the staff were great and the only other issue was bathroom cleanliness. The bathroom had a weird orange go spread over an area of the ceiling that was just gross.

Was not informed my room would not be cleaned at check-in. Called several times for service and was told they have rules they can't clean my room.

No thank you
It is not the best place to stay in anchorage. There are a lot of homeless people, i’m guessing drug addicts as well by the way they were acting, right in front of the hotel. I did not feel safe at all whatsoever. The homeless people were loitering right in front of the property & every time the security guard would tell them to go away, it would escalate into a screaming match. I really did not want to spend the last day of my vacation witnessing a verbal altercation between the security guard of the hotel & multiple different crackheads. The front desk lady was also a little rude, definitely did not appreciate her unprovoked attitude. Overall, I would NEVER stay at this Hilton ever again. Awful customer service & no sense of serenity.
