We stay at the Norwalk Inn regularly as a stopover on a longer trip. No matter what time we check it, even if it's the middle of the night, it's an easy process. Rooms are always clean and staff is superb. Only reason for not a perfect rating is the accuracy of the website - the last few times we have stayed we haven't been able to receive service from the restaurant despite the website saying it is open. Given that this information is used by patrons to plan their trips, this needs to be updated especially during the craziness of pandemic restrictions. Overall, we always enjoy our stay here and will be returning.
The Norwalk Inn is a great value. The rooms are comfortable and nicely appointed. The location is excellent for getting to the highway or downtown Norwalk destinations. Just know that it’s not in walking distance to restaurants.
Toilet was filthy never cleaned. Totally disappointed, room was outdated and dirty. Staff was nice. We ended up leaving a day early we were so upset.
The hotel was nice. They wouldn't give me a upgade to a suite because they said they reserve those for people with a extended stay. The kitchen was closed due to covid so they had a limited menu that they would call out for you and had it delivered to the hotel. 15.00 for a sandwich. The rooms were clean and everyone was very pleasent.
I expected so much more. Service wasn't too good. Staff weren't friendly and didn't seem to care to engage with customers or try to help with issues. The rooms are tiny. Pool is smaller than looks online. NOTHING to do in the area. No good food spots around and the ones there close at 8. My kids wanted to spend most of the time at the pool since this is their first time getting into one this summer(due to covid) and the hotel was supposed to have food service at the pool but when we got there they said it was only a limited menu(ONLY PIZZA & SALAD). My husband doesn't eat pizza and I wanted other options. I asked if it was okay that I bring my own snacks or food and they said NO and didn't care at all to be helpful. Another family was yelled at for eating their own food by the pool. What difference does it make if food is allowed, where it comes from. They were not considerate at all. So we were stuck eating pizza Everytime the kids wanted to spend the day at the pool. You're not even allowed to bring your own drinks. That sucks for a family with kids. The staff wasn't accommodating and seemed to know it and still not care. Also I paid way too much for NOTHING. Small room, no free breakfast, crappy service, boring neighborhood. Would not go back! This was definitely a loss for me.
Always nice. Hotel has been cleaned and some upgrades nice. Pool is nice and location super convenient.
The place was overpriced. No cleaning service was provided. The room had wallpaper peeling off, pillows were very old. We got coffee for two people on day one, we were 3 and I was charged extra. One staff member was friendly the rest were below expectation.
Second time staying at this hotel... definitely my go to place when I come to visit Connecticut....
It was a nice getaway. The amenities were ok accept for the fact that since Covid19 they do not service your rooms. The facility was warm and family oriented. The pool was great, but too many people at one time even if it was a holiday weekend especially during this crisis. It could've been handled better.
Hotel was fine for what we paid for. We went during COVID so it was expected to not be functioning as normal but they had no food at all even though we were told at check in there was a limited menu. The outside pool area had very limited seating. You were able to get a drink at the bar but then again, no food. Very limited vending machine that ate my money. When I went to the front desk to let them know the machine ate my money when trying to get a water bottle, they gave me flavored water which I didn’t want. The description of the room also said there would be water bottles in the room which there wasn’t. Bed was not comfortable. Basic cable only. WiFi was spotty while in the room. At check out the front desk person was not even wearing a mask which was annoying because there were signs everywhere telling guests they had to wear a mask.
