Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Minneapolis Bloomington/Mall of America

Very good location across from Mall of America and IKEA! Hotel was updated but overall felt somewhat old. There was a large space under the door, which let's in noise from the hallway. Beds were comfortable! The wall heat unit was loud and disturbed our sleep when it kicked on and off. Front desk staff at check in was very friendly and kind. Breakfast was not great- very lited options, but might have been due to COVID. Overall, this place was worth the money, mainly due to location.

The sink was clogged. The maintenance guy came and plunged it with a plunger that was prob used on the toilet. It still was clogged and they wanted us to stay in the room cause they were full. I had to ask what compensation I could get since the sink was not usable. He told me since I booked with a third party nothing could be done. He then offered to switch me room. I said I thought they were full and he said “if it’s that big of a deal to you, I’ll move you.” I’m adding a picture of the sink after it was plunged. Left me feeling guilty for wanting a room with a working sink.

The room was clean. There was no conditioner to use for my hair. The housekeeper had none so I could not properly wash my hair. The front desk only had one person to staff it and had no one to help me with housekeeping issues the night I checked in. The room was simple and clean. The breakfast was sparse because of Covid so really not an issue to review. The front desk staff was pleasant but sorely understaffed.

Second time staying here... enjoyed even more than the first time. Great facilities, super nice room amenities... awesome staff and shuttle bus driver.

Good stay. Room was really clean and temperature was just right. Desk service was great as well.

Very convenient airport shuttle. Rooms are awesome. Fast internet, good cable TV channel selection. Close to dining options and walking distance to Mall of America. Nice morning front desk and kitchen staff. Excellent grab and go breakfast. Only issue, hard to understand the lady that answered the phone to give us airport shuttle pick up info. She was very robotic, talked fast and needs to show more hospitality. Others in my group complained about the same this. I WILL STAY THERE AGAIN.

I was not pleased with the fact that their was no restaurant available to order food during the blizzard it would have been so much nicer. We had to go to bed without food, but found the morning snacks sufficient for getting back into the day.

Staff were rude from the moment we walked in the door. They would continue to ask where we were going when coming in the building. Room smelled like old smoke and dirty diapers. They didn’t understand why we wanted a different room
