The Village Resort

All good A very enjoyable stay

The Village resort is a great place to spend a few days at. I found the Bedroom far away from the pools and the pool was small yet was warm and comfortable (heated pools) great if you get the front rooms Parking was great

Lovely apartment. Great location. Wotif seem to give you the worst apartments. E.g. no sun, dark downstairs, back of property, no view.

Lovely overnight stay in a very spacious apartment with a view of the lake from the bedroom which I hadn’t been expecting. All the comforts of home, very clean and newly carpeted. Full kitchen with good sized fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Washing machine and drier also in the apartment. Handy walking distance to shops and restaurants yet quiet. Very comfortable king size bed. Heated pool and spa in the resort although we didn’t get to use those. The bathroom was a nice size, shower with good pressure, and there was a separate toilet. The lounge area also had a fold down bed. Parking was just outside the unit. Interior stairs in our apartment led to the upper level where all the rooms were situated, and doors from the lounge area opened into a nice size balcony with outdoor setting.

The car parks are worryingly narrow and the beds far to hard for us

We loved it! The heated pool was a winner with my 10 year old daughter, our hosts were phenomenal and the rooms were spacious and super comfortable. We really had an amazing time and wish we could've stayed longer! Next time we definitely will :)

Family trip to Taupo in school holidays. We stayed a week in a large one bedroom apartment. These were at the back of the property, near the tennis court and far from the pool, spa, reception and main road. The room was good, spacious, with good kitchen and laundry amenities. Nice and quiet. Murphy bed in the lounge was great for our 8yo. The balcony was nice, with basic table and chairs. Heat pump/air con in lounge were good. Pool was lovely and warm - about 32C. Spa bookable which was good. Tennis court great and almost always free. Easily walkable to shops, food locations - about 10min. We were able to store our bikes at bottom of car park and lock them to rails. While housekeeping came every day, was only basic and did not clean surfaces or vacuum. Was obvious sticky residues on the balcony that had not been cleaned. Would be nice if the place was a bit cleaner. Midges/sandflies do come in at night, so make sure that you turn lights off at dusk and close windows before going out for dinner. Hotel helpfully supplied flyspray. Easily sorted once we worked this out!

The closeness to town and the cycleways made it a great place tostay.

Very good accommodation. Nice to have the space and a kitchen and laundry. Good location. Would stay here again.
