Please do not stay here. I was a solo female traveler and checked in around 9 pm. I pulled in and felt really uncomfortable, it was very dark, in the middle of nowhere, the building was in terrible condition. I didn't feel safe. The condition of the room was terrible, there was hair and dust all over the furniture and bed, with a loud hum from the fridge. It smelled like smoke, and was a non-smoking room. I was prepared to tolerate these issues. Then I turned on the tap and brown water came out for about 30 seconds, then turned clear. I decided to change hotels. I told the owner and worked with hotels.com. The owner disputed what I said, and wanted me to show him the brown water to "prove" it, and offered me another room to stay. I decided I wanted to change hotels all together given his response. Hotels.com gave me an automated message to ask the owner for a refund directly. When I did, the owner started fighting with me, saying I was making it all up. We got into a yelling match. He said no one had stayed in the room and that's why it was brown. I told him I was leaving, it was late, and will pursue the refund the next day. He sent me a long message saying why no refunds are allowed, he did everything he could, however said the room was fine and someone had just stayed there the night before. I didn't want to engage with him anymore, I found him to be harassing. Terrible experience.
