Salt Lake Plaza Hotel at Temple Square

Our room was directly next to the trax rail line & we heard the train announcing all night, in between the extremely loud heating unit, we couldn't sleep at all.

I was in Salt Lake for a two night business trip. The Hotel is in a good location within walking distance to shopping and Restaurants. The staff was nice and helpful. My room was clean but one of the walls which has wallpaper had some type of splash marks on it and from what I don’t know. The TV’s need to be updated and even though it’s Covid times , coffee could at the minimum be available in the Lobby for guests.

This was the worst i never got to stay in the hotel the hole reason i wanted to stay there was because it said that they had eairly check in so when i got there around noon they told me they had no beds available and to come back later check so I waited a few hours came back to check in and drained the time I got something to eat and in the process of checking in they told me I need a $100 deposit on my card and since I spent money getting something to eat my card was declined no one said anything I need $100 deposit I asked if you could to cash and they said no cash so I asked for a refund and they refuse to give me a refund tickle me to call hotels.com to work it out with them which they were unable to give me a refund also meanwhile it was very cold outside and I used a what money I had on my card and you would not let me get another room anywhere or give me a refund to get another room so I got stuck in the cold wasting my money cuz I couldn't get another deposit for the room on top of what I've already paid so I'm in the process of trying to get a refund from them or from you whichever works but no response from either one of them yet

Very nice and helpful staff. The hotel was a little tired and could use an upgrade. Location was good and close to the arena and restaurants. Price was inexpensive for the location, but could use some TLC.

No room available upon check in. Soda placed in the refrigerator froze overnight, exploded and made a mess inside the refrigerator which I cleaned up. Disappointed coming and going.

Place was clean and affordable. Staff was friendly and helpful. All the fun amenities were closed due to the pandemic response, but not that big of a deal because there were plenty of places around to keep us busy. The pillows were dinky and not the most comfortable, but the room was relatively nice for what we paid.

It was a very great stay! It was definitely a bang for your buck. Would recommend if you find a good “secret price” or it’s just on discount and you’re needing something reliable! Got a city view hotel room and was pleased with everything until we noticed you aren’t able to open the balcony door, considering this is what I was specifically wanting as a huge plus. I was disappointed when I found out there was no way to open it. Called front desk and they explained it was a city order, which is reasonable, but other than that, great stay!

Very nice and clean hotel and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay here again

It was good , I was a little disappointed that there wasn’t coffee and maybe a light breakfast offering. I know with Co Vid it’s been hard so I understand but even a packaged roll would have been nice and some good coffee.
