Sonesta Posadas del Inca Lake Titicaca - Puno

The shower drain was not working properly so the water in the tub took awhile to drain which meant you were standing in water while you showered. It looks like they are updating the hotel as a lot of the rooms on the first floor were under construction which is a good thing. Overall the hotel was very nice and the food in the hotel was really good. Free breakfast and we ate dinner there one night and we were pleasantly surprised.

My stay at this hotel was a disappointment. The hotel does not look like in the pictures displayed on the website. Those photos must have been made long time ago. The property is in poor condition and the atmosphere is quite sad. Some rooms lack basic items- like a working desk. The carpets in rooms and hallways and old and smelly. The garden facing the lake is poorly maintained, looks messy and uninviting. There hotel looks like a resort but lacks basic facilities. You can really only stay in your room or have a meal in the restaurant. I only used this place for sleeping but even the quality of my sleep was poor as the room felt stuffy- no ventilation or air conditioning, just a cheap electric heater that is difficult to regulate. The housekeeping forgot to replace the water bottle and do the evening turn down service on the second day of my stay. All in all not a nice experience

We got a free upgrade which was awesome! The only feedback we have is regarding the hot water which took a while.

Staff was kind, helpful, and considerate. Wonderful location and safe in an area where there is concern. The ad mentioned guinea pigs and llamas, but I was still stunned when we opened drapes in the morning and guinea pigs were running around - they were so fun to watch! The room and bed were very comfortable.

The property was located on the outskirts of the city of Puno, it was tranquil and relaxing. Service was excellent.

Best to access via vehicle, although you can walk from the city of Puno but I don't suggest it. We had a beautiful room that was very clean with a large bathroom and our room had a view of the back of the property (which was very well maintained) including the lake. Staff were very friendly and professional. We arrived early and they stored our bags for us and delivered to the room. Highly recommend!

A great hotel with excellent service. The staff was gracious and the grounds were lovely.

The Sonesta was beautiful! It was great to wake up with views of the lake, a cup of coffee in the restaurant, and sights of alpacas in the lawn. The customer service was great, the rooms nice, and the grounds were spectacular! I think you would have to be really picky to find issues with the hotel. There is no elevator, so make sure to request a first floor if mobility is an issue. We didn't eat at the restaurant as we wanted to try some places near the square (there is nothing within walking distance). But the front desk will call a cab for around 8 soles each way.

The property was really nice. The staff were extremely helpful in organizing activities for us. We originally had booked 3 nights and prepaid but only stayed for 2 as other than going to the floating islands and Taquile island it was too quiet for my liking. The food in the dining room was good.
