Always a delight hotel! The staff is highly trained. The hallways are quiet and the rooms make you want to move in

The trip was great. The hotel staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was nice we got a free upgrade to a room. The food was good. There were lots of stores and restaurants less than a five minute walk away.

Beautiful hotel. I wish I could say I loved it as I expected, but am very upset about our room location. Paid extra for a Plaza view room so we could enjoy the Christmas lights from our room. We were given a room on the 1st floor with a driveway view and people sitting at a firepit table right outside our window😩. I guess we could have seem some of the lights had we been able to see through our drapes. If we opened our drapes, we might as well have joined the loud group of people. I did call and was told we could change rooms but it was not a Plaza view room. They were very nice and provided us with breakfast in the morning (which was delicious), but the fact remains that they charge extra for that room for a view. We did love the room and the service, though, and the hotel itself is lovely. I just wanted the room I paid for without cars and people right outside my window😞.

Staff friendly and accommodating. The room was very nice, having a proper desk, plus a seating area for any guests, and the room faced the front of the hotel. The porter also provided a short history of the hotel and its guests over the years. For the ladies, perfectly located for shopping, there is a great 4-6 block area of shops which is a short walk from the hotel. Lots of restaurants in that mall.

Wonderful place in KC. Staff couldn't be nicer. Food at restaurant quite good - we had both breakfast and dinner.

If you’re used to staying at 4/5 star hotels, this is not one. First, there is not Limo or Car Service available. Nor do they have airport transportation. The beds are extremely soft and if you have any back issues at all, you will be uncomfortable. I was up all night. I forgot to put the card on the door for breakfast order, so I called the front desk at 6:30 am. The kitchen opens at 7. At 8:00 I tried to call the front desk to inquire about breakfast as we were leaving at 8:20. (We had a car scheduled for pick up) The phone on the desk was suddenly dead. When we called the front desk using the other phone, they out us on hold while they tried to sort the matter. Meanwhile a bell man comes to the door and asks if we had ordered breakfast? At this point it was 8:10, and I told him yes but not to bother. Another staff member, not a manger, came to check on us. She offered some to-go breakfast for the girls. We accepted... and they made that order wrong as well. 🙄

Planned a girls getaway for me and my daughter before she headed back to school. The Raphael is gorgeous in a beautiful location of Kansas City. The staff were awesome! They very friendly and helpful, which is always welcoming. The rooms were clean and spacious. The view we had was amazing. I think we may make this an annual trip. The only suggestion I have would be to make the menu a little more “kid friendly.” I was excited at the thought of ordering room service for my little one to experience but there wasn’t anything on the menu she would eat, so we resorted to eating at the restaurants nearby.
