Room much smaller than imagined . Found someone’s shirt hanging in tiny closet . Hair in sink ... Just disappointed for the price Location is excellent. People here very nice
It was very quaint, and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.
Room was quiet and clean. The staff was not very welcoming—even though I arrived before nine I was considered a late check-in and was barely greeted in the morning.
The public areas of the inn were quite nice, however the room didn’t feel very clean and was quite small. The shower and toilet both struggled to work properly and additionally it cost $250. For a $70 room I would have been happy. The staff was incredibly friendly.
Great location. Room was just ok and also on the second floor with no elevator. Nice continental breakfast.
My employees arrived and no one was there to check them in so they left and booked at another hotel. I would appreciate a refund on these rooms.
It was a cool experience to stay at a 200-year-old Inn but definitely not worth the price. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, the heater didn't work and there was very little water pressure in the shower. Yes, I realize the pipes are old, but to charge as much as they do, you'd think the amenities would be a little better. I would not recommend staying at the Inn at Montpelier for this price.
My wife and I didn't really know what to expect. Alas, what we got was a little disappointing. Our reception on arrival was a little off hand to say the least; No-one was prepared to help us with our baggage so customer service is obviously not very high on the agenda of the staff. The younger members of the team were much more friendly and efficient. Our room was small but was fortunately clean. The bathroom was satisfactory. After the first night of four we tried the breakfast. Alas again, it was pretty awful. Not everyone is into health food! So we ate out on the remaining mornings. Lastly, $240 per night is a very steep price for room only and thus the price was certainly not worth it. Having said that, Montpelier is a pretty nice place and the Inn's buildings and the grounds certainly had some character!
liked location. expensive! overcharged on top of that, property not well maintained (white building)
Great history very accomondating superp breakfast service.... A liltte over the top on price.
