Check in was simple. The place feels very secure. To get into the guest area, you need to punch in a code. To get into each hallway of rooms, you need a different code. To get into the room itself, you need a key. A lot to remember, but feels secure. Wifi password changed daily, only told if asked, and was "unreliable" at best.
Check in was alright. They tell you about the free dinner being served. You then go in to get the free dinner, and you're told you need a voucher from the front desk, which they didn't provide or inform you of when they told you about the dinner in the first place. The dinner was also a few french fries, noodles, and a single tiny piece of chicken. The other option was pasta with fries. They also don't tell you if you need an outlet converter, you are to use theirs, so you need to go back and ask for one from them.
The bunks were a good size, so that was a positive. I'd suggest choosing a bottom one if you can, the ladders to the top seemed to be difficult for people to use. However, the room I was in smelled very musty, there were large cracks in the walls and it looked like there was mold. The air conditioners didn't work very well in the rooms either, I found.
This is a party hostel, there is a rooftop bar. If you don't intend on partying it can be difficult to sleep, when you can feel the bass in your bunk even with ear plugs in. If you want to drink and socialize though, the rooftop bar has an amazing view, and well priced drinks for the area
