Saugatuck Retro Resort
I booked the Retro Resort for a long weekend trip with my two grown daughters. The place is secluded..I missed the entrance twice. Our room was clean and newly updated but no frills...very basic. During COVID times some amenities were limited. The beds were comfortable, but the room was very small with only the beds for sitting. Bathroom clean and updated. Only one mirror in the entire room which was over the bathroom sink. Plenty of towels. TV was small and buzzed. No coffee, but did have mini fridge and mini microwave. Retro Rob was very friendly and available. Good location to check out many areas of Saugatuck/Douglas. The pool was very nice, clean and comfortable. I'm still scratching my head about $350 per night rate.

It was a great place. My only complaint was no coffee in the morning but then there was a nice little coffee place a mile and a half down the road. Rob was great with recommending places to see and visit. For a last minute room was pretty nice place.

Check in and pool were great, comfy bed, clean room, but no coffee in the morning! Their listing on Expedia said they had breakfast but the office sign was off and curtains pulled at 10am. I don’t think we will be back at that price.

Cozy and quiet retro style retreat! Owner Rob is a hardworking guy, very friendly and helpful. Many precautions are being taken during Covid which made us feel safe there. Loved hearing the old songs by the pool. The rooms are well insulated from each other too!

The Saugatuck Retro Resort Motel is a hidden gem! So cute, so clean, so comfortable! The owner could not be friendlier. He gave us great recommendations for places to eat and fun events in Saugatuck, Douglas, and Fennville. We had a great stay and will definitely return!

Rob is a great host. He made sure we knew about all the new restaurants. It's was quite a nice experience to have quietness, and not round the clock sirens like in the city. An easy drive to downtown Saugatuck & Douglas.
