Had 3 nights at Villa14 as I had booked two days sports fishing on the lake! The stay turned out to be more enjoyable than the fishing! The house is an amazing space located on a small island that requires access from a little furry.
The two staff who run the household are superb Chef Amila is mitchalin class he can make you anything you want when you want just tell him your requirements and they are forefilled. The butler Ranjiff serves you your meals and takes care of the running of the house. Exceptional team.
I was abit worried because I was the only guest at the house and I thought my food bill would be expensive but it came in at about the same cost as ratting in other restaurants in Sri Lanka but the foods the best I’ve had on my travels this month around the country.
The garden and lake are just full of wildlife from pelicans to sea eagles and crocodile and fruit bats.
The only negative thing I can say is you have to pay in cash which I wish I had been informed about at the beginning because I had to make a trip to the ATM to collect the funds
