Besides the helpful staff and the balconies out back of the hotel, this hotel room (double deluxe with private bath) was sadly one the worst I’ve stayed in all my travels. The room was not as pictured, and certainly couldn’t have been the same room shown in the booking. It was dingy with dirt on the walls, bed was very stiff with only a thin sheet to cover with. The bathroom is less than to be desired (omitting the aesthetics, the shower head is at the height of a small child). There was only one outlet in the entire room for which we had to unplug the mini fridge to use. The walls are also paper thin and you can here everything going in and around the hotel. If we didn’t arrive in Belize City so late (after dark) I would have left and booked something else. Yes it was cheap at $70 US and my expectations were low but given the cleanliness, amenities and location it was incredibly overpriced and disappointing. The only other positives I can find is the AC and WiFi worked great.
