Nice boutique hotel with great service and good food. Not exactly tranquil though: not…

I had a great experience!! Staff ff was thoughtful and went above and beyond in every way. I would definitely stay here again. Location was off the beaten path but fr an overnight stay in Male, it more than met my expectations.
The staff is amazing and handled every detail from picking us up airport to arranging our ride back. Full service at the hotel. Lovely people and great accommodations.
Wow jus wow. I never seen a place like this. Seems like Buddha designed this place. Really really upscale place . Now comes the best part. The service. Ur treated like a king by all staff. Final wow. Staff actually walked me to passport pic and eye glass place. Didn’t even care what time I checked out. My god I wish every hotel was like this. I’ll never forget the convos with the head guy here , and his amazing boutique hotel
Thai resto is good, hotel is basic but clean and tastefully decorated.
Staff were wonderful! My son broke his leg and they really looked after us, visiting in hospital and bringing yummy Fruit and Thai food. So appreciated and kind.
The staff was exceptionally good. The entire staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome. While checking in we witnessed a guest come to the desk and ask for assistance in paying his cab fair. He apparently realized he did not have any cash on him. Without blinking or asking questions the staff went to the curb side and paid the guests taxi fee from the airport.
Very basic, not a great value. Friendly staff, but minimal amenities and low quality overall
My stay at Sala got off on the wrong foot when they forgot to pick me up at the airport. I had pre-arranged the pick up and gotten confirmation via email, but when I arrived no one was there. The Malé airport doesn't have wifi, so I had to beg staff from a lounge to take mercy on me and contact the hotel on my behalf. The transfer consisted of a dude meeting me and escorting me on a ferry from the airport to Malé itself, then when we couldn't find a taxi we walked to the hotel (you're better off just taking a taxi from the airport). At check in the manager claimed they didn't have my arrival info, and when I produced my email showing they did, he said, "A misunderstanding!" Saying sorry goes a long way, but that didn't happen here. The hotel itself is serviceable, with strong wi-fi and an enjoyable Thai restaurant (inexplicably decorated with photos of Venice). The rooms are simple but comfortable and clean. Following the pick-up fiasco I found staff to be accommodating and warm, as they contacted my resort to arrange my onward transport, and had breakfast ready for me at 6 am, which was unexpected and helpful.
The Sala Boutique Hotel is not some glamorous resort on a sandy atoll. It is a city centre hotel that, in its way, reminded me a bit of the movie, The Best Marigold Hotel. It is not run down at all, but it has a management that cares; it is reminiscent of a boutique hotel in India and it is entirely homely. It was a scorching hot and incredibly humid day that I arrived in Malé, so I was very relieved to find a really efficient air-conditioner, turned on for me in advance of my arrival, in my spacious, clean room. The bedroom was dominated by a large four-poster bed with a bench at the end to provide alternative seating. There was also a desk with tea and coffee making facilities. Strangely though, there was a Nespresso coffee machine, but no capsules provided. Everything worked and was clean. Breakfast was delicious with freshly made Danish pastries and I had tropical cut fruit. I did not want a cooked breakfast but it was included in the room rate. This is most certainly a hotel I would return to in the future.
All i can say is the service, the best you can get. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave Raj the hotel mananger was always there to help.
