Very charming and distinctive decor with over the top and friendly service. Only complaint was some street noise from Peoplemover, but otherwise excellent.

First，the hotel is a boutique hotel with only 10 rooms. the decor is beautiful. it is clean, the bed is comfortable, the front desk is warm and welcoming. Second, unfortunately, the room we were in was extremely noisy. feels like we were on a plane. We were told that the exhaust fan in the kitchen was right next to our room. The noise did go away at 11:22 pm but went back on at 9 am. It didn't bother us tremendously because we went out for a show in the evening. but they do need to fix this issue, or you may want to make sure not to get that room( Rm 407). there were other minor issues like no USB charger, lukewarm shower water, no slippers, no luggage rack, no dresser, no pot to make your own hot water, and a tiny bit sewer smell from the tub( my husband fixed it by running some water to seal it), but the front desk responded quickly and brought what we needed. Third, my least pleasant experience was the brunch. we went there right after check out, we were the second guests there, ordered simple dishes and waited for 45 mins, by the time the toast was brought to our table, it was cold. I finally lost patience by then. if you are not an extremely patient and kind person, maybe there is not a place you should stay. or just do not eat there. But if you are willing to take an adventure and try some different experience than the chain hotels, and don't mind to tolerate the imperfection, it is worth for a visit.

Highly Recommended

The hotel was amazing, one of the best experiences in a hotel I have ever had. And I have been to over 56 countries so I have stayed in a lot of them! I was only there for 1 night for business, wish I had more time there. The only disappointment was it wasn't clear on the site that all of their lounges were closed on Monday, and I just so happen to be staying there on a Monday. It was clear after digging on their website, but on hotels.com it was not. I did call hotels.com to complain, they gave me a $50 credit, but I would have rather spent that at what looked like some amazing lounges! I absolutely will stay here again next time I am in Detroit, hopefully not on a Monday night! But highly recommend it, staff was amazing, room was great, great experience with what I was able to experience!

Absolute beauty. Each room and even the hallways have so much to look at. Great location. We could walk everywhere and the people mover was right out the door. The staff was friendly and helpful

Lovely stay!

We really enjoyed our one night stay here! The room was super spacious and beautifully decorated! The hotel itself reminded us of a castle hotel we stayed in Ireland! Beautiful and a little castle like! Staff was very welcoming and helpful! There was a simple but very nice complimentary breakfast on the floor! We ended up having dinner at the hotel and it was very good!

Perfect stay

Our two-night stay at the Detroit Club was a dream. It felt like we were living in a Wes Anderson movie (in a good way.) We've never slept so well, and that wasn't just on account of the top notch cocktails in the Club's beautiful bar. Ryan, the manager, welcomed our (many) questions and has encyclopedic knowledge of Detroit's incredible food scene and the city itself. He even gave us a personal tour of the Club, which oozes with history, when we arrived. He made a visit so memorable. Can't wait to go back.
