The hotel is located in a pleasant neighbourhood with many restaurants and stores in the surroundings. It's 18 minutes on foot from the Old Town, but you can easily request a cab at the lobby.
The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was impeccable and the towels always fresh.
The staff was generally friendly and helpful (special kudos to Raluca at the front desk who really went the extra mile to make our time enjoyable, and was a very knowledgeable source of precious tips).
We just had one minor mishap: on the night we arrived one of the clerks told us he'd book us a tour that left Bucharest at 8am on the following day, so we woke up really early in order to be ready for the pickup, which unfortunately didn't take place. What happened remains unclear to us: he may have forgotten to book the tour or perhaps failed to warn us that it had been cancelled. Fortunately Raluca stepped in and saved the day by booking us a different tour which, in spite of being slightly costlier, was immensely more flexible and probably more comfortable (private sedan as opposed to a minivan with other people).
The hotel offers a varied breakfast buffet: scrambled eggs, pastries, jams (the mini croissants were delicious), cold cuts, cheeses, fresh fruit, vegetables and fish.
We dined at the hotel restaurant one night, the food was succulent but the service was a bit slow (to cut them some slack it did seem to be slightly understaffed that evening).
