"Had a wonderful stay at The Dabbling Duck. Our room was lovely and clean with a great view of the Village Green. The staff, who were extremely busy serving Sunday lunch were very polite and helpful. We had a booking in the restaurant, where the food was amazing, as was the breakfast. Over all, this is a stunning place to stay and chill, absolutely loved it, 10/10."

"We had a lovely stay. The facilities and staff are all brilliant. The pool and lake was a bit too cold for us in October but will be back in the summer. We had lots of little walks, family game time and enjoyed the boat in the lake. Our dog was in heaven swimming every day!"

"I am utterly disgusted that this place is even still open, arrived at 7:50pm and told we had to find food elsewhere as kitchen shuts at 8pm, then was told they were not aware we had a room booked and she would have to call owner to confirm! Said she would call us back while we found something to eat as his phone went to voicemail!!!!! We then get a call to say yes they have made a room up! I then asked if they were aware we had a full English breakfast the next morning… again no they didn’t!!...

"From the time we arrived until we checked out, Sue, Clive and the rest of the wonderful people at the Bull Inn were friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent, we had one evening meal and 2 breakfasts. Would stay again if in the area. "

"Fantastic experience would highly recommend this wonderful Inn. We had a wedding reception to attend and booked the Crown Inn to stay. A warm welcome awaited us on arrival, our room was fantastic well equipped and a cosy relaxing place to unwind. We had dinner, was a well balanced menu of traditional pub food. Definitely worth the wait. The shower was really good. Breakfast next morning was enough a well cooked full English, cereal toast OJ and tea or coffee. Will be back "

"Lovely hosts who were very accomodating and kind. Delicious breakfast offered and even an extra special gift as a birthday surprise. Room was spotless and certainly the cleanest bathroom I have ever seen. Clearly alot of care and pride for their business. "

"Staff very friendly. Decor in room need tidying. Mattress lumpy, and noise heard from kitchen below quite loud. Service good, good is good. Cost of food and drinks higher than expected, although relevant to area. "

"Where we have given 4 * is only because it’s a very old building. Jack is a total star. We had a very personal private request and boy did he deliver! He deserves double pay. All staff were friendly helpful and welcoming. And don’t even get us started on the food! Limited menu yes. But we all know the phrase Jack of all trades ….. What The Red Lion serves is simply MASTERCHEF! "
