Nice building let down by poor service
Nice building and location, let down by poor service. When arriving at 20:00 our room wasn’t ready. TV and coffee maker didn’t work. Wifi was very poor, only worked in some spots and have to reconnect all the time. Contacted reception twice to resolve the issues, but they just ignored our request. Best to look for other hotel options, as this lacks basic services.

An enjoyable stay
A large modern and very clean hotel with large spacious rooms. We are a party of 4 and booked two rooms for 4 nights. We found the rooms well equipped and very comfortable with large king size beds. The spaces were exceptionally clean. There were a couple of issues with our stay that were not resolved however. 1. One room kept warming to 26 degrees when we left the space and despite reporting this issue no action was taken. The 'solution' apparently was to leave a door key in the slot but housekeeping removed these! so hey back to 26 degrees we went. 2. I booked the hotel rather than another on the basis of the pool facilities. These were closed for the entire duration of our stay. 3. Reception, rather finding reception, needs improving. On entering the hotel you are faced with a large unstaffed desk that looks like most receptions you have encountered. However the real thing is on floor 2! So in all, a good choice of hotel but I get the impression they are currently a little under staffed.

Beautiful Hotel
The hotel was beautifully decorated. The location is really because it's only few steps from the metro & there's plenty of fast food & restaurants around the area.The only issue that we encountered was the noise, we stayed in Cardo Brussels for 3 nights and the loud noise coming from the room next to us (staff room), above us & even opposite our room,it is unbearable. The room is not sound proof. Especially if you want to have a rest until 8 or 9am as my husband & I were so tired travelling from one place to another. I found out that the banging loud noise was from the housekeeper,who are cleaning the unoccupied room.We are grateful that we were allowed to check in early as our room was already available but I think the housekeepers should be mindful of the people who are still resting/sleeping. But I will still stay in Cardo Brussels due to it's location & the aesthetic appearance of it.

Great hotel, great location
Beautiful modern hotel. Perfect walking distance from the centre. I read after booking that it is located in a less safe area in the city, but we had no issues and didn’t feel unsafe once, just maybe not ideal for solo travellers. Rooms were brilliant, we loved the electric blinds etc and found them fairly easy to use. Tablet was also super helpful where you could request late checkout etc. We arrived a few hours early and they checked if they had rooms available and checked us in early. The only negatives I could think of were the WiFi was a pain to connect to, but once I connected no problems. And the bed sheets weren’t the best quality (bit scratchy) but that’s only because I’m picky with textures. My partner thought they were fine.

Great city hotel
Location and price were great for the quality of hotel. The single beds were large and comfortable and it was nice to have a seating area. The bar and pool in the hotel are great. The views from our room were a bit bleak but didn’t really matter. The black out blinds were great. Would highly recommend.

Pleasant stay in a new hotel
Pros: new hotel, beautifully furnished room. Good location close to Gare du Nord, Rue Neuve and within 20 mins to Grand Place Cons: 4 of 6 lifts were not working so there was a queue to go to our room. Quick thinking from great staff allowed us to use employee elevator to avoid a long wait. Tablet room control interface not the easiest to use and was glitchy

Horrible experience
We were checked into a dirty room, bathroom door handle came off and couldn’t be fixed, transferred into a smaller room which too was a connecting room, asked for an extra water bottle but was declined, transferred again into another room finally at 1am. Staffs were not at all apologetic and helpful. Only 1 staff was nice enough to help and she was amazing her name was Kathy. Beware of Night manager Adam and all others especially the tall red headed lady.
