8/10 Very good

Really good views of the hills I liked the cottage style very relaxing and felt like home from home rather than a hotel which was great for the dog

Wonderful woodland stay.

A wonderful woodland stay in a character filled hotel and restaurant in the heart of the Malverns. Did not have dinner here, but the cooked breakfast was spot on. Staff were very helpful and friendly throughout my stay.

8/10 Very good

Property is lovely but needs some updating in the main reception and restaurant, as well as rooms
RUGGERO, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Spectacular location but spread over 3 buildings so quite a trek to the dining room if you're old or infirm. Food and service good. Accommodation itself OK but nothing special e.g. no bath mats, not much heating, noise from room above simply from them walking around. Overall, overpriced I think.

Beautiful setting

Only stayed for one night but very comfortable, good food, friendly staff and small details like binoculars for the wonderful views, an emergency pack, and lovely homemade biscuits provided in the room made it an enjoyable stay.

Stunning view

What an amazing location!! The steep drive up the hill was totally worth it. The view from our room was amazing. The other surprise was the restaurant. The tasting menu offered excellent value for the quality of food provided.

Great location and room quality

Great setting with the view, rooms and food. Staff were friendly and the rooms/food were good quality with nice bedding, mini fridge, large bathroom etc. Only issue is the wasps - the outside tables and restaurant (when doors left open at breakfast) after affected by them. We had the same issue in August 2020.
Michael, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Restaurant a little expensive. Limited choice.
Richard, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Very clean rooms and stunning views. It is not made very clear that most of the rooms are in a seperate building 150 mt from the restaurant and bar area. Not a big deal but would have been nice to know. I thought the very limited menu at £55.00 a head for 3 courses was a little pricey.
COLIN, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Very nice feel to the hotel. Decor, fixtures and fittings were interesting and to a high standard. Staff were efficient and friendly. Location for walking was excellent. Upgraded our room to get a better view which was worth it. Breakfast was very good with generous quantities. Dinner was the only disappointment and wouldn't book again. It was expensive but in substantial. I had the pork main course and I was given a few miserly pieces of pork. We were filled up with homemade bread but not good at £50 each.
Kevin, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

The property is on very good location but thats the only postive, the rooms are bit out dated and full of old dirty marks on the rugs and all the windows was covered with spiderwebs and dirt. The receptionist was not very helpful.
JACOB, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

What a beautiful place to stay! It felt really relaxed and welcoming, and the staff are lovely. Our room was comfortable and clean, and the bed very comfy. The only gripe we have is the wait for breakfast was an hour, and when we enquired as to when it would arrive were met with defensiveness from staff. My veggie full English was delicious, however my partner’s smoked salmon with scrambled eggs and toast wasn’t up to the standard we expected - the salmon was cooked, as though it had been sat under a heater for a long while. Other than this, we had a fabulous time and would definitely stay again. One bad breakfast service doesn’t take away from the wonderful hotel and surroundings, we all have bad days after all!

8/10 Very good

Great hotel....BUT

The hotel is in a great location over looking the Three Counties Showground. Room was comfortable, decor was quite dark with midnight blue paint all round the room. We and others over the two days had to contend with a party of 12-14 people (of a certain age) at Breakfast who were very loud and would not stop talking over each other, even when eating, which spoilt it for those who wanted a quieter experience with other hotel residents who were sat in the breakfast room. This also happened with the evening meal where most of the tables were put together limiting others the opportunity to sit and have a quieter meal with their loved ones. Other than the entitled people noted above the hotel was a great experience and would venture back but will check to see if there were big parties of people staying.
Paul, 2-night trip

4/10 Fair

Beautiful position. Food delicious but overpriced. I didn't like the fact that there was a door banging every few seconds throughout the day until 23.30. I could even hear it with earplugs in! Also, the lighting system in the room made it very difficult to work the lights. This is not a suitable hotel for disabled people due to uneven floor surface, steps in unexpected places and no warning signage
Sue, 2-night trip

Food is not up to our standards

Chef could not handle my no salt soft diet. My wife had to forget about her low salt diet. We were disappointed with the menu, which I found impossible to read because I am red green colour blind. The hotel appeared to not understand what is colour blindness. We shall book again as we have done before. But we will not eat in the evening. This is the second time that we have had issues with the food.
Stuart, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Saw a rabbit running by.

Big clean room with a lovely wide view. Comfortable bed. Hot water in the bathroom and fresh towels. Tea and coffee. Didn’t need the ‘eco-toiletries’ and not tempted to take the bottles. The restaurant was busy so I was asked to choose an available time slot for my evening meal and as I was planning a walk took the 9pm. Maybe a bt late but mine was a late booking so I was happy to accept what was available. The staff were friendly and there was a cheerful atmosphere. Always awkward when you’re on your own in a silent restaurant so it was nice to have the buzz of gentle conversation in the background. I think the only option was to choose from the three course menu and as various rounds of bread, nibbles and tasty appetisers arrived I skipped the starter. The main course was tasty and sufficient and the sweet very prettily arranged. The chef obviously used to good fresh ingredients and prepared to take time with small details. I think the restaurant must be a ‘destination’ rather than just for hotel guests, hence the busyness. It was a very nice meal. Breakfast, again very nice food - not quite sure whether I was ‘allowed’ extra tea/coffee/toast etc as well as a cooked breakfast, but that was ok. I was not starving by any means. Paying the bill was interesting. The evening meal being a little eye watering in fact. But, it was my choice to eat in and the food was good. Had I known, I might had made my own arrangements though.
