8/10 Very good

Everything was perfect, the only thing I would suggest is a portable fan in the rooms as it gets exceptionally hot. Otherwise I would definitely stay there again

Nice hotel, minor issues in the bathroom with limited loo roll and a lost earring found, but reported to reception and easily resolved. Room itself was clean, comfortable, and great shower.

Lovely place with a large room

Great hotel in a lovely place. The best English breakfast I have ever tried. Nice team. The only thing I have noticed : the bedroom was not clean on the floor.

A little gem

Our second visit in a week ideal stop over for long journeys as ours was but a beautiful well cared for hotel with efficient friendly owner and staff would be ideal if using as a base to explore the area Very relaxing and comfortable Thanks for your hospitality
Glyn, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The property is in a quiet rural spot, convenient for Birmingham, Solihull, Redditch, the M42, etc. I am not aware of any public transport links to the hotel, though, other than taxi. Rooms are to a good standard, although some aspects of the bathrooms could be freshened up (e.g. shower grouting). The restaurant and bar offer a limited menu, but with healthier and more ‘home cooked’ options than chain “lodge” and “inn” alternatives nearby. Overall, very good value

10/10 Exceptional

We are visiting family who live down the lane. When we first arrived they had us in a room above the entrance. Since it was warm we kept the windows open but unfortunately could hear people as the exited the building. The owner allowed us to move to a quiet room. The owner,Dave, is wonderful. Allowed us an early check in. Dave is also the chef and did a stellar English breakfast!
Miye, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

It was okay

We were initially given a room directly above the pub, which was extremely noisy. I had to request a room change, and to their credit, we were moved to an accessible room. While the new room was quieter, it did have several issues. The main light in the room didn’t stay on properly, and the accessible bathroom was potentially hazardous — the shower flooring was incredibly slippery and not up to standard. This poses a serious risk, especially for those with mobility issues, and needs urgent attention before someone gets hurt. Although there was a kettle and mugs in the room, there was no tea, coffee, or milk provided. A small but noticeable oversight. Breakfast was another area of concern. It’s served from 8:30am, which is quite late, and when I politely asked if it was possible to order slightly earlier, one staff member was quite rude. Thankfully, another team member stepped in and kindly took our order. The food itself was fairly standard — nothing exceptional. Overall, the stay had some redeeming aspects, but the room safety concerns and customer service left a lot to be desired.

2/10 Poor

Heaters where on full and could not adjust them had to have the window open and also fridge door open still couldnt sleep the whole night kept waking up room was full of little flys killed more then 10 main door kept shaking with breeze most channels didnt work had booked this hotel as it advertised large double bed but it was the smallest double bed ive slept on Also the following day i got to my car someone had scratched my car with some wiggly lines in my paintwork (no cameras) Overall terrible hotel experience and would definitely never stay here again
Muhammed, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Hotel that is just not interested in the guests

I travel a lot and can overlook many issues when staying at hotels, however I stayed here for 3 nights. The last night they had a party down stairs under my room and the music did not stop until midnight and I had to be up early the following morning the peek volume was 80 DB and I called the hotel the following morning to discuss as I had to leave very early and reception just said they would get a manager to call me back and then hung up without taking my number. Clearly they don’t care about any guests ! Very poor indeed!
andrew, 3-night trip

6/10 Good

Ok hotel, poor customer service

We stayed here for a wedding at the hotel and overall the experience was a mixed bag. The positives were a very friendly receptionist checking us in, pretty comfortable bed and the breakfast was quite tasty. The negatives were an uncomfortably warm room with no fan/AC. Bathroom was a bit small. For some reason they pipe awful Muzak around the grounds and corridors of the hotel all day and most of the night. There’s no residents bar but the bar staff didn’t tell us this when they sold us an array of drinks at just before 12, we were then told to vacate the place at dead on 12. The wedding coordinator was pretty obnoxious. We paid for late check out but nobody thought to tell housekeeping, who twice came into our room before check out time. We’re highly unlikely to ever stay here again
Aaron, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Lovely bespoke hotel, great for family get together as it has a large garden area, a little off the beaten track so may struggle for transport links
Lee, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Disappointed

As we knew about the party we expected the noise but the room itself was noisy and very uncomfortable. The bed was awful and extremely uncomfortable. The fridge was hot not cold. Couldn’t fault the staff very good.
1-night trip

6/10 Good

Extremely noisy plumbing..can here plumbing working when other guests use taps or shower so you wake when your neighbour wakes whatever time that may be..bar is open till 12 so music will continue till then..they also play music through speakers located arpund the grounds..the light switch is located right next to fire alarm so watch what you reach for in the middle of the night when entering room..check in is 3pm BUT check out is 10am so lose out both sides..plugs are located on the floor away from the beds or bedside tables
