So, I normally don’t do semi-negative reviews, but…in this case, I feel like I have to say something. First off, I paid a lot of money for the room, I realize that it was Homecoming weekend at Virginia Tech, but I’ve stayed at nicer Holiday Inns for much less. I paid for a room with 2 queen size beds, I got a room with a king size bed and a pull out sofa. The interior is in dire need of a face lift, for all I know, this site could be on a list of scheduled interior renovations. There are no USB ports in the rooms, something that is now standard in most hotel rooms, and several electrical outlets were not working. That said, the customer service was outstanding, I personally witnessed the staff handling a difficult guest with the utmost professionalism, and as a retail manager, I was most impressed.
