I booked Moonlit Bay Hotel through Hotels.com based on beautiful photos.
The reality was shocking: the property is in a state of disrepair and feels abandoned.
- The room I was given and the private swimming pool were dirty on arrival.
- The shower cubicle was blocked.
- Some area of hotel is neglected, with broken facilities and unsafe conditions.
- The architecture is beautiful but has been left to ruin, making the place feel like a ghost hotel.
- Water pressure was extremely weak, and the temperature constantly switched from cold to hot without control.
- Guest rooms are not cleaned in daily basis unless you specifically request it.
I complained at reception, they asked cleaners to go back and clean the room and swimming pool but, the lack of maintenance was visible.
I also contacted Hotels.com for relocation, but their support process was slow and costly by phone.
Hotels.com should remove or update their advert to reflect the true condition of the property. Guests deserve transparency, not glossy photos of a past that no longer exists.
I strongly advise future travelers to avoid booking this hotel until it is properly renovated and maintained.
