Very pretty property and kind staff. It was unique in that it is a home built in 2013 styled as an antebellum style home, and is used as an event venue and bed and breakfast. However is more an event venue.
We were the only guests at the time, which was nice as we had the whole place to wonder on our own, but a little unnerving. All the doors to outside are left unlocked and its a large property freely accessible right off route 6. Only lock was code to our room which I did love not having to carry a key or card for. I know Oxford is safe in general but you never know.
The owners were friendly and left us to our own, offered to make breakfast although we didn't accept as we are early risers and they do bfast at 0830. We did text upon our departure and said thank you but no response.
Enjoyed walking the grounds freely, but not much to do or look at in the home. Maybe some games or outdoor lawn activities would be a nice addition. Local books, stories, maps, ideas of activities/concierge would be great.
Also an area to buy or have snacks wohld be nice. Note there were 0 snacks or options for any type of food except for the 830 bfast which was odd.
The Dana room was comfy and roomy but lacked any charging stations or places by the bed to plug in a phone charger without a long extension cord. Bathroom room. Clean. There was no housekeeping during our stay but an envelope to tip housekeeping.
All in all it was nice but more suited for an event venue than B&B.
