The hotel is a smaller motel in a small town. It has been updated and the rooms are great. Sorry cute area. Has a pavilion, a place for a bonfire and a grill. Staff was super friendly ! It was close to many places to visit along Lake Michigan. I would recommend this motel if you are in this area.

I stayed in the motel not the cabins. The room was nice A/C worked well very comfortable. Don’t expect all the extras like a chain brand though. I’d recommend it.

This is my new favorite place- right down from Ellen's Shell station that has the best pizza in town. :). I felt safe who was clean they use Dove products, so grateful for your skin, the environment and women's initiatives. Just an all-around wonderful place that deserves the five stars. Breakfast was namebrand muffins, coffee, but no fresh fruit. Only recommendation I'd make to the staff, it would be lovely if you put out a few apples or oranges at breakfast. Thanks for a lovely stay and we hope you have a fantastic summer season.

My only complaint was the individual in the next room fell asleep with the TV on Which woke me up around 1 am. This has nothing to do with the hotel. Perhaps if the remote isnt activated after 2 hours it would would automatically turn the TV off

Remodeled excellent condition clean comfortable beds. Manager was helpful and kind. She told us about the fire ring in the back of the property with free firewood which my son and grandson and I enjoyed very much. She even brought us some marshmallows to roast. I would highly recommend this hotel. They have numerous options of rooms and cabins. Close to the Manistee river hiking trails hodenpyle reservoir with boating kayaking fishing etc. 30 minutes to Traverse City 20 minutes to Cadillac 45 minutes to Lake Michigan. Near the snowmobile trails ski resorts for winter fun. Great location at very reasonable rates. We will stay here again!

Met my expectations for a small motel in a rural area like this. Room was clean and comfortable, and would recommend if staying in the area. Breakfast didn't start until 7:30 which is later than anywhere else I've been, so I had to leave prior to that.

This is a wonderful little property! Just was remodeled in May 2026. They did a great job with it. Room was clean and brand new. Price was excellent. Not too far from Traverse city. Will definitely stay again

I was really looking forward to my one-night stay after reading all the recent great reviews, especially since the place had just been renovated. Sadly, my experience wasn’t as good as I hoped. When I got out of my car, I was surprised to see someone smoking weed at the picnic table. I know marijuana is legal in Michigan, but it’s not allowed here. The parking lot was small and challenging to navigate due to poorly marked parking spots and difficult-to-see lines. As I walked to my room, I was hit with a strong, musty cigarette smoke smell, even though the motel had a strict no-smoking rule. The bathroom, which had been updated, was in great shape. The mattress was very uncomfortable and three of the four pillows in the room had hairs on them. I kept coughing all night, probably because of the smell in the motel. I had to turn off the HVAC unit because it was making the smell worse in the room. Luckily, my coughing stopped when I left in the morning.

The room was alright, but when we turned the AC on it started to smell really bad and we had to turn it off (maintenance on those AC machines??), so having to choose between breathing clean air or being hot wasn't the greatest. The pillows were pretty uncomfortable too.
