The staff person who checked us in offered suggestions for restaurants and was helpful in reviewing our plans for sightseeing.
Another staff person helped us secure a reservation when we had some difficulty getting through by phone.
The building can be hard to find but has charm, including an old working elevator (in addition to steps). Felt safe. We were able to walk to most of our destinations, including restaurants and museums.
The room was dark and we were unable to see out of old windows. The floor did not look very clean.
Must be near a school or community center because it was quite loud, but did quiet down after 7pm.
There was a constant, high pitched sound in the room -from water pipes or HVAC? We got used to it but annoying the first night.
We only ate breakfast one morning (due to early tours) - was tasty with a variety of options.
Breakfast area/sitting area was nicely decorated and clean.
Would be nice to have free coffee available at times other than breakfast.
