If you've ever wanted to know what it's like being a Spanish traveling salesman, then this is the place for you. Yes, it's cheap. yes, it is on the metro line....but this metro line closes at 23h00, so if you're into the Nightlife, this hotel is not for you. If you're more interested in exploring the city during the day and going to Museums, then this hotel might be for you. Just realize that it's one hour from the center of town. Argandar Del Rey is not a bad town to be in, but it's not Madrid. There are restaurants and the like which are open in the main shopping area near the Hotel.
Concerning the Hotel, the electrical installation was such that there was a multiplug, on which the TV, and the Fan (necessary in August) were connected. When we tried to connect our small portable computer, it actually almost burned the table. There was one light that was out in the bathroom. When we asked the person at the reception for a glass, the woman (who makes no effort ot speak anything other than Spanish) looked at us as if we were from another planet. The hallway into the room smells like sewage mixed with rose water. I'm not difficult in terms of what's acceptable, and this was on the limit for me...The only solace was that we were able to leave in the morning, spend the day in Madrid, come back to Argandar for dinner and then just sleep in the room.
If you can pay just a bit more, then avoid this place. Otherwise, well, it's certainly cheap!
