A Peddlers Village Girls Getaway
The bed was super cozy and I slept straight through the night. Breakfast was so delicious and the staff is super friendly and accommodating. I loved walking around the grounds and feeding the animals in residence on the farm.

The property was a working farm and the B&B was an old farmhouse which was in great condition. The housekeeper, Carmelita, was friendly and nice. She lent us a phonecharger and showed us how the tv worked. The reservation and the payment was all done online. I recommend it wholeheartedly if you are looking for authentic PA farm nostalgia. M. The best part of my trip was just being in a beautiful historic area in a quiet little room with amazing people. Jon was so kind and helpful, made a delicious breakfast to order, and helped me get a ride into town. I would highly recommend and thoroughly enjoyed my time here!

The breakfasts were good. When I arrived, there was no one there! I called and they told me which room was mine, so I was able to get settled. The bathroom was tiny, ditto the shower. The towels smelled. My bed was not made the second day, and I was not given fresh towels. It was located on a farm, which was lovely, Probably wouldn'd go back.

Friendly, but ...
Having stayed at dozens of B&Bs, we've learned to appreciate all of things that go with historic properties with character. At the same time we hope to find a mattress with good support, breakfast with homemade breads or muffins, and a helpful guide to the best local restaurants. Ash Farm is historic, but it's on a fairly busy road with a lot of trucks passing. We did find interesting restaurant possibilities in Doylestown on our own, but the staff could not recommend any. Breakfast included home-cooked eggs and sausage, but the bread products were supermarket-style. Finally, our shower was so narrow it was hard to bend over in it.
