Location is great, close to Yale, restaurants, and shopping. Onsite parking is reasonable and convenient. BE WARNED: If youâre staying on a Friday or Saturday night, it is very noisy from the restaurants directly across the street. It was hard to sleep with the yelling, and the motorcycles and cars revving their engines well past 2:00 a.m.
The hotel has an old-fashioned feel, but thatâs common for East Coast hotels, so nothing particularly special. The room condition and overall cleanliness were decent. It was inconvenient that there was only one elevator going down to the underground parking lot.
The staff were friendly, especially the valet staff who kindly helped us with our car issue.
Very close to Yale.
bed and pillow were quite comfortable
you are in downtown New Haven, so the late night revelers and racing motorcycles into the wee hours of the night were an unwelcomed addition to our stay. Free coffee and tea would have been a pleasant addition
The restaurant breakfast was satisfying with a gorgeous view of Mew Haven Green.
The rooms felt luxurious, with full bath towels, comfortable bed, and extremely clean. We had an issue with the wifi since it didnât recognize that we were checked it.
The hotel was great, very clean, very good service and a good condition of the room. Unfortunately it is very difficult to sleep in the rooms on the side away from Yale on Friday and Saturday nights. There were a lot of loud noises from parties and car meets.
The restaurant and the bar offer a good service and tasty food.
Staff, coffee shop and water pressure were all great. The room was very cramped, and Hotels.com said we were reserving a king bed room but it was a queen bed. Room was clean enough, but the Nespresso machine was dusty and broken and refrigerator had food in it. Our AC was broken but we did get it fixed quickly. The location was probably the worst part, to me. All night long, truly through the entire night into the morning, it was extremely loud outside. Both nights. Large groups of people and loud cars and motorcycles roaring up the street. The sidewalk and street are filthy out front, and the park one block over was even worse. Not the hotel's fault of course, but since this was my first time in New Haven I had no clue that this wasn't a nice area.
