First time here
First time staying here as we usually stay around at Ahuriri. The location is pretty good given it's semi industrial. Several supermarkets close by and less than a five minutes walk to the city centre, 10 or so minutes to the waterfront.
The hotel itself is clean, tidy and still looks relatively new. The staff were friendly, polite and welcoming.
The room itself was plenty spacious even for a basic, bed is comfy and the blackout curtains are actually proper blackout curtains. Very comfy room. And quiet. Really quiet. We are used to much more noise at night in hotels but this place was lovely.
The only downsides, and this is a complaint with all hotels; some of us like heavy duvets not float away things. We don't all like aircon to regulate the temperature. Also, two teabags for a couple was a little on the "tight" side. Outside of that, I really nice stay.
