I was initially sent to the wrong room, where the toilet had overflowed and was inoperable. That it had overflowed was obvious, it still needed to be cleaned up. Also, the key card provided didn't work. I was sent to a second room, apparently the room the agent should have sent me to first. It appeared clean but as I settled in I noted that the floors, some kind of wood veneer (not carpet) had a layer of grime. I used a damp towel to wipe down the floor, quite filthy. Obviously swept only and never mopped between guests. At this point, as a late checkin and very tired from all day drive, and the sheets appeard clean, I went to bed too tired to call the desk again and demand being sent to another hotel ( I had in the above had to call, go back to office, several times).
