I had a lovely deluxe room with partial ocean view overlooking the festive hotel lawn. Ordered room service, used the jacuzzis and warm wading pool, and enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Having beach access, resort amenities, and the Malecón right outside made for a great experience.

In general the hotel was clean and comfortable, the lack of chairs around the pools and the rude people who reserved their chairs and not occupying them was annoying. The pool area bars were closed most of the time. I ended up spending most of my time away from the hotel and when I was at the hotel I just brought my own drinks.

The consistency of the property is satisfactory, I do like the views from the terrace. It’s just the kitchenette could use a little TLC, and I know it’s a tropical climate so maybe some complementary bug spray. For the price, I will say I will definitely be back. We have stayed in Mazatlan many times, but this was our first experience at The Inn at Mazatlan. We had reserved an oceanfront studio and they upgraded us to a one bedroom two bath oceanfront with 180° view of the beach and the pool.. My husband and I both agreed it was the nicest room we had ever stayed in and only on the third floor, which was perfect for us. The staff treated us like a queen and king always opening the doors for us as we entered or exited the main lobby. the pool was warm and the restaurant served delicious food … Especially the tortilla soup. Hats off to Guillermo For interpreting in certain situations and Martha, our cleaning lady who did an excellent job. When we return to Mazatlan We will definitely stay at The Inn.

Beach at this hotel was safe to swim at even for kids. Hotel is also centrally located at Zona Dorada so restaurants are walking distance. Tower with the larger 1 and 2 bedroom suites is a bit outdated but looks like they are upgrading this tower with a 3rd elevator so hopefully they will be updating the rooms also. Hotel has all inclusive as an option which I really appreciated since it allows you to both eat there and also dine out to the wonderful restaurants throughout Mazatlan. Highly recommend this hotel if looking for a hotel that doesn’t require all inclusive purchase.
