"I went to Breathless Riviera Cancun to celebrate my birthday, and I will be back.
Pros: Smooth and quick check-in (We were Xhale Club). Steakhouse (The Strip), Asian (The Silk), and Spoons (Buffet) were the restaurants that we frequently ate at. Pools were amazing. Swim up bar was great. Strong drinks upon request. Staff members: Roger, Alexander, Abi, Rosi, Sonia, Manuel (Spoons), Edwin, and Anahi all treated us with respect. They were super friendly and attentive. They made us feel at home, as they greeted us by name on a daily basis!! Kudos to them!
Cons: Upon check-in, he tried to tell us that our assigned room was the upgrade; however, it is what I paid for. He then upgraded us to the correct room after I said that it was not the upgraded room. I went to order drinks and the bartender (Daniel) did not serve me. He then went on to ask other ladies what they wanted, as they were not ready; they were still deciding. He then went to make drinks for servers that came AFTER me. Mind you, he knew I was there and waiting. After about 8-10 mins, I decided to go to the Xhale club to get premium alcohol (only 2 bars had premium liquor). That left a very bad taste in my mouth. Roger and Alexander tried their best to smooth it over, but the damage was done. The music at the pool is hit or miss during the day. It was all over the place with genres. We did notice that they did not play a certain genre of music until after 5pm.
Other than the few hiccups, we had a time!"
