A fabulous stay at Castles in Paradise where Alina and Bonnie made us feel more than welcome and were happy to help with anything we needed. Spacious apartment and balcony that offered beautiful views of Savennes Bay. The pool and surrounding gardens were maintained very well and provided an extremely relaxing stay. We felt safe with 24/7 security on hand and were able to come and go as we pleased. Would recommend getting a hire car for your stay as this will allow more freedom to explore the Pitons and sites at Souffries (just under an hour drive away). Accommodation and pool were fantastic but Bonnie (the owner) being so personable and offering suggestions of sites to visit made the visit unforgettable.

A wonderful week in St. Lucia! Castles in Paradise is a great place to chill out and relax. It’s away from the crowded streets of the North Island and very close to the international airport for US travelers. Bonnie, the owner and resident innkeeper is very attentive to guests needs. She and Alina in the front office are the best and Alex the driver is super friendly and very knowledgeable!

Yhe property was clean both inside and out. Yhe office staff, Ruphena was super amazing. Our flight was delayed by 3 hours both flying in and out. She waited for our arrival after her shiff was over. The place was simply beautiful and very comfortable and relaxing, and the view took our breath away. We are making plans for next year. I like it better than the resorts because of the privacy, space and quiet. 5 🌟

Beautiful grounds. Lovely swimming pool. Spacious villas with wonderful views. Bonnie and her staff are friendly and helpful. Patrick was an excellent find - he was recommended by the property as a driver, and we hired him almost every day either to take us out to a restaurant or beach, or on a full day tour - one day to Castries and another to Soufriere. There is no beach within walking distance, nor is there a nearby restaurant or grocery store. Apparently the resort next door, which was closed for pool upgrades, has a restaurant that is open to the public, but we're not sure what it would be like. Anyway, Patrick took us to where we needed to go, for a reasonable fee. It is a very quiet place, away from the hustle and bustle of tourist areas. We enjoyed ourselves, as we were not looking for nightlife. However, be aware that you will either need or car, or Patrick!

It would take me several pages to write what I really want to say about this magnificent locationCastles in Paradise in St Lucia. We love to travel and often times don’t want the run of the mill places we want different and unique. We were celebrating our 20 year anniversary and wanted to renew our vows and as soon as I called the owner she and her staff were fast at work to make this happen(2 weeks before our trip). I had no idea what this renewal would look like and it exceeded every expectation I had from the wedding planner Marcus to the photographer Ustace. So backing up to speak of the property it is serene, beautiful and unique. The view is breathtaking! I would recommend a few things that made our trip most pleasant and that is Patrick he is a taxi driver that took us anywhere we wanted for a reasonable fee. He was amazing to say the least and he usually picks up castle of paradise guests at airport. We did not want to rent a car because of the winding roads and I think they said most cars were stick shift. Patrick was at our door when we set a time and we could call anytime. One thing I loved about our trip is that we were able visit several High end resorts to utilize their property and eat at their restaurants which was amazing to see other places, Sugar Beach was breath taking. It was a very beautifully situated place, with everything you need to spend a comfortable week there: daily housekeeping, staff is very helpful, daily pool cleaning. NB: British electrical plugs, so if travelling from Europe or North America, make sure you bring a converter. Although we had some at the house in a draw, but just in case. Voltage: 240

Amazing views over the bay. Lovely pool and shady terrace. Only 10 minutes from the airport so really good after a long flight. Supermarkets about 10 minutes away in Vieux Fort (recommend going to the further one.) This place is isolated and you do need a car, but it is very peaceful and quiet and away from all the main touristy bits which suited us. We drove to Soufriere one day (1 hour scenic drive) and visited the town, volcano and mud baths. Also visited a lovely local waterfall and swam in the pool (all accessible easily). Reef Beach café nearby is off the scale good. Were travelling with young children and elderly relatives so enjoyed the space and freedom that the villa offered. We stayed in number 7. Wifi free and very good. Would thoroughly recommend if you are a more independently minded traveller and looking for space, calm and luxury.

2/10 – Mangelhaft

The property is literally 7 min from the airport, which is great. But Castles in Paradise, should be better known as “Canines in Paradise”. Dogs barking all hours. Then, good luck trying to find places to eat around you. Slim to none. We found a supermarket about 10min away, thankfully, as well as Domino pizza and KFC. That’s it, on this side of the island. We pulled over to a hut on the side of the road just pass the airport and purchased food from there. Upon checking in to Castles, we where offered a private chef that would cook for us; $40. Per day, per person, per meal. After reading someone else’s review I’m glad I didn’t. During my stay, i had an emergency which i had no choice but to end my trip. I purchased the insurance from Expedia, “A WASTE OF MONEY”, If your familiar with Bugs Bunny Cartoon; In order to file a claim it must have to be during a Hail Storm in July on a Tuesday and a baby Zebra.... I explained my emergency to the owner, with hopes we can come to an understanding and get 1/2 a refund. I only stayed 2days. She claimed she would but Expedia was the problem not her. I contacted Expedia and they where more then willing to work with me, yet the Owner, each time contact was made with her, just played games saying she didn’t have any information on the booking at that time and we needed to call back because office was closed. This literally happened as I was parked outside the office and Expedia called her.

Great location away from the crowds, excellent views with an amazing breeze. Very clean, safe, easy check in easy check out. Great all around, be sure to hire a car if you plan on exploring the island.

Castle with a View
Breezy, beautiful, condo. We really enjoyed our stay. Clean, spaciousand fully equipped. Ruphena was extremely responsive. One thing to note is that there is no cleaning service on weekends and the condo is on second floor. Check in and check out was easy.

Fabulous stay in unit #5, which is huge. We had 2 bedrooms plus a movable divan so comfortable for 5 with amazing views from both the veranda and the roof top terrace. With sand everywhere the washing machine was a big bonus. We arrived on Xmas day and they had someone there to let us in and get us started on our holiday. They were very helpful with directions and setting up some activities while we were here. It is an hour drive to Soufriere but we enjoyed being away from the business of the major tourist towns and actually enjoyed the driving on the windy roads and seeing the sights along the roads. Best snorkeling we found was in Anse Cochon; not only fun snorkeling but a nice restaurant that was not too pricey and we could sit anywhere we wanted on the beach. Both Sugar Beach and Anse Chastanet also had good snorkeling but the public was restricted to a very small section of the beach as the resort took up the larger portion. Also we swam and played in the waves right near Castles at beaches just past the airport. The waves were great fun and even rented a kayak at The Reef restaurant and used in the waves. TOTALLY recommend this lodging as a great place for adventure and then very quiet at the end of the day.
