Very kind staff and excellent service.

it was the third time staying there and its one of the best hotels in the area

10/10 Exceptional

Beautiful peaceful grounds with great landscaping and vintage outdoor furniture, charming room with hardwood floors and antique furniture. It's not the hilton, some minor flaws in bathroom but that is the charm of it. Good area walkable

8/10 Very good

A very friendly, charming and reasonably priced property that is family-owned. The rooms vary a lot, and as I stayed their at two separate times within my stay, the second room I got was WAY more comfortable and modern. The breakfast was wonderful and the hotel owner joined us at one point for a chat, and shared a bit of the history of the hotel.

It is always a pleasure to stay at Hotel Casa Gonzalez. The staff, gardens, rooms, and location are wonderful. Whenever I am in Mexico City, I stay here; I don't even consider other hotels.

This is a great hotel with a very cozy vibe. The rooms are spacious and clean. Close to public transportation and tons of options for food. The staff is friendly and the location is perfect! We will definitely stay here again!

This hotel is in a very nice area, you can walk around to the tourist areas and is very safe. We love the area, quiet and clean. Around the counter there is a place we had breakfast before walking to the bus station to take us to the new airport. Very convenience and reasonable price.

The restaurant meal was comfortable, like eating at home. And the staff was friendly and willing to help with anything. Of course, the accommodations were also comparable to those of large hotels.

A little oasis in the city center

Enjoyed my stay here. It's in the center and not far from the action. However, it is still quiet with a homey feel.

I returned for the first time in 24 years. HCG is still the same peaceful oasis it was then. I enjoyed my stay again.

The main draw at this charming hotel is the beautiful, beautiful courtyard and garden adjoining each room. On our visit (in late April), the property was a lush, cool oasis away from the city. You could sit in the courtyard all day! Our room was clean and functional. The shower did not have hot water on the first day, but the staff quickly fixed this issue after we reported it. The location is also great, with many excellent tacquerias, parks, and local sights within walking distance. All this at an affordable price point makes it worth recommending.

Let me start by saying how cute this place is and the many courtyards are just beautiful. The area has numerous restaurants, coffee shops and bakeries. We loved having breakfast with complete strangers from all over the world and emensely enjoyed the conversations. The room was very spacious and had a great view of the courtyard! Plus it was very clean. I can't say enough about how friendly the staff was. We most definitely will stay at this hidden gem the next time we are in Mexico City.

Absolutely adored our stay at Casa Gonzalez! It’s truly a little oasis in the city, absolutely gorgeous and everyone is very friendly. We were impressed with how clean our room was every day, as well as the grounds. Check in and check out we’re super easy, and the laundry was a great cost. The restaurant on site has good food and attentive staff, plus it was just super cute. We would definitely stay here again, it was super quiet at night and the area had good food and was very walkable. Our hot water wasn’t always reliable, but with an older building that’s sometimes to be expected. Truly thankful we booked here! They even let us leave our bags at the front desk when we arrived way earlier than check in time. Can’t recommend enough.
Jessye, 8-night trip

8/10 Very good

It's a nice quiet "Mexican"hotel in an area away from the Centro, but close to the Bosque and Museum of Anthropology. Very comfortable bed. Lots of great restaurants in the area and Metro station is a short walk away. Uber is great and very reasonable and convenient. Staff are very helpful and pleasant to deal with. We enjoyed our stay.
William, 7-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

We sought a quiet and safe space in our visit to the city, and this hotel was the perfect refuge from the bustling city life. The space exudes a calmness and echoes traditional life in little towns in the countryside. The service was impeccable, the staff was warm and professional, and the location was perfectly situated to iconic attractions and various dining options.
Jose, 3-night trip

First time here…

We loved the building, the courtyard, the location, and the staff were great! Our only wish is that the rooms radiated heat more readily. It IS January but we were quite cold in our room. Thanks for the extra blanket!
5-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

We've been staying at the CG over many years, and the welcome is always warm and the check-in easy. When you enter this special place, you feel you've escaped from the hustle and bustle of the big city. The garden is lovely. The restaurant is pleasant with delicious options for breakfast. The price of the rooms is moderate, and the location, just a few blocks from the Angel de la Independencia is excellent.
John, 1-night trip

Loved the garden spaces, loved the area, very clean. Did not like the door to the restroom, it opens into the restroom, and there was not enough space in there.
NELDA, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

It looks like it is an old mansion converted into a hotel, which had a lot of character. It has beautiful gardens and outdoor sitting areas. The onsite restaurant was great and reasonably priced, and the staff was also great and responsive. Although our room was spacious and clean, it was lacking in some basic amenities that we would expect a hotel to provide. There weren’t any face cloths, or hand towels in the bathroom, nor a couple of drinking glasses. Also the bathroom sink is very small that water splashed on the floor when you washed your face in the sink. And the bathroom faucet was wobbly and needed tightening. Overall, we enjoyed our stay there.
Sriyani, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

This is an excellent small hotel with pretty gardens to relax in and a friendly staff who will go out of their way to answer questions and provide help. Breakfast in the appealing dining room is copious, with a broad variety of choices. The dining room is also open for dinner, an attractive option after a day of sightseeing. The only drawback is its distance from the center of town--an hour by cab or Uber in heavy traffic. Despite that, I'd go there again in a heartbeat/
Linda, 6-night trip

Definitely would go back!

Our stay at the hotel was very nice. There were a couple of little things that were disappointing for example of laundry wasn’t available and yesterday when we were out touring, I twisted my ankle really badly and they wouldn’t open the kitchen to give my husband a bag of ice so he had to go around the corner and pick up a 5 pound bag of ice Not a big deal just wasn’t great customer service. Who cares about the ice it was just more the inconvenience. The breakfasts were great and the service wonderful. Cesar was excellent. He helped us check in and helped us with a couple of things and I would give him a 5+ rating!
