Nice hotel. We stay only one night. The room was clean, the bed was very large and comfortable. It seems the hotel was renew. There is a free parking with many places. The hotel is quiet and not far from Donegal centre. Staff are friendly. We had an optional Irish breakfast in the restaurant just close to the hotel. 8⏠and it was very good.
Lovely functional room with a large bed.
Small bathroom.
Room had no suitcases stands so everything was on the floor, no dressing table to put toiletries etc on and it was a little dark.
Good location near the town and a
Bored receptionist who couldnât be less interested in guests if she tried. We said we would pay for breakfast separately but despite this we were charged for three full Irish. When we questioned this we were told it was all the same. Wonât be back!
Really lovely staff, rooms decorated beautifully and clean
Breakfast was wonderful just wish we were aware there is no bar, we arrived early and had to go into the town to get a coffe
Hotel and town is lovely however wonât stay again
Annie at reception was amazing. Outstanding personality. Breakfast was superb and the staff were excellent. Great location. Nice to have free convenient parking. Only things I wish they included was bottled water, conditioner and body lotion.
We stayed at the Gateway Lodge in Donegal during our travels in Ireland. The onsite parking was convenient and easily accessible. Hotel is just a short walk to town with several dinner options. We ate at The Olde Castle Bar - seafood was fantastic! Donegal castle is just a few min walk from the hotel!
This hotel is in a great location. The town of Donegal is quite lovely and very easy to walk in. I was driving throughout Ireland (over 900 miles on the trip), and this hotel was easy to find, had free parking, and was a eight minute walk from the center of the town.
Loved the location. Ample parking and an easy walk to town. Staff fabulous. Rooms very clean but basic. Breakfast great. Would stay here versus larger hotels in town.
