The Baxter Hotel was a lovely experience. The room was clean & comfortable … and spacious … with a great balcony which overlooked the town. The bathroom was updated with style. The proximity to the train station was perfect for us … as was the location to shops and cafes.

I didn't like that there was no staff on hand after a certain hour. Our sheets were dirty and the room smelled like a dog. The staff did make it right by giving us a new room, but it was a hassle to go down stairs and call the phone at the reception desk. Also, the restaurant closed early and we were given a sigh followed by a "we close in 15 minutes," when ordering our welcome drink.
