The very first time, we happened to choose an accomodation, where there was no 24 hour service.
The location was OK, but the rest was not.
My wife is Italian on Father's side, so there was no language barrier.
The heating was running by an air conditioner. We were trying to do our best to make it properly operate, but even after hours of trying, it did not make the room warmer. Then, we took the phone number from the reception and called the person in charge, Giulia.
She was giving us instructions on the phone, but we did not go any further. Since it was Saturday, nobody was available to fix it. So we had to wait till morning for someone to come. This is winter, even in Trieste, so room temperature was not acceptable. As Giulia was saying, the house was fully booked, so she could not provide another room. All in all, nobody was managing our problem. Guest satisfaction is above all in any business. Then, due to my wife's native skills, we were booking another hotel, which doubled our expenses, yet it was worth every penny.
