It is a nice hotel, but I do not like surprise check in fees when booking through Hotels.com. All fees except for parking should be upfront. No surprise fees at checkin. If 90% of hotels can do it, so can you Hampton. Just charge everything in the cost of the room. Deposits and parking fees are okay, but should be listed on the booking page. Do better.
This was probably the nicest Hampton I've ever stayed in. It was clean, with several amenities which made it stand out. The face that it is a new hotel is an added bonus. There was a nice bar, ample parking, dedicated walking area for the do and friendly staff. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip.
This hotel itself was excellent, but the neighborhood wasn't great, with a pretty "slummy" looking area right behind the hotel. Also, we were somewhat taken aback by the staff's statement to another guest whose Expedia room specifications had been lost ("third party reservation room specifications don't make it through..."). He stated that is done to discourage guests from using third party reservation sites such as Expedia because when reservations are made through third party sites at the same price the hotel is offering directly, then they "don't get their commission". That situation doesn't reflect well on either the hotel management, their staff, or Expedia, and needs to be resolved.
Lovely looking new facility but couldnât check in until late. Staff seemed inept. The room was huge with very high ceilings with minimum furniture. Electric blinds not workable, making it a dark cavern. Heater did not work. Handle on bathroom door was broken. Not at all a cozy Hampton Inn suite! Left early and went to another town
Hotel is very nice. The breakfast was average at best. I would think for the high cost of the hotel it would have been better. I never expect a great breakfast, but this was lame.
