The reservation, made well in advance via Expedia, was canceled 45 minutes (!) before my arrival at the hotel.
I learned it once there: they would have tried, on the day of my arrival to debit my credit card (correct number provided to Expedia), did not succeed (who knows why) and, without warning me, canceled simply the reservation! Of course, they didn't have any other rooms available...
This is probably in accordance with their rules but the completely dehumanized and disrespectful way in which it was done is completely hilarious! The staff who "swung" this information at me showed no compassion, did not issue even the semblance of an apology or attempted to help me in any way.
I had to manage on my own with Expedia customer service, look for another hotel.
In short, even more than this "bug" with the reservation, it was the excessively rude attitude of the hotel staff that deeply shocked me. Shame !
