Do not expect the usual all-inclusive resort: food is not available all the time. There is “snack time” if you miss lunch but the menu is very limited. There is one eating option - a restaurant that serves group feeding sessions with basic options. It’s like a cafeteria, not much in the way of service or options. Food is underwhelming. There is one bar with a sticky counter and staff half interested in helping. They didn’t have smoothie machine working all the time, and not always fully stocked. Do not expect diet soft drinks - they just don’t have them. The pool once had a bar but it was closed when we were there and appears to now be used for storage. The property is in disrepair, but functional. Do not expect much in the way of amenities. There are many flies. The pool and beach were very nice, but when you attempt to use any equipment there are fees to rent or use them. I saw one attempt at an “activity” in the way of two team members try to get ppl to play volleyball, with no takers. It’s more like a 2-star than 3-star, overall. Safe was working in the room. In-room TV was fuzzy, bathroom was functioning - limited warm water some days. Saw two ants in the room. If you go with low expectations, you will enjoy the beach and pool.
You can’t leave the resort to explore anything on foot, it’s highly secluded. If you do go here, be sure to book outside activities.
If you can select another option, do so - this one is not worth the cost - at all.
