Overpriced but good location.
Although the location is advertised as a hotel, this is a misnomer as the rooms are individually owned and vary enormously as to the equipemet etc inside, and although the staff at reception are pleasant, it is not the usual welcome of a hotel. On arrival, I was told there were plenty of places nearby to eat - as a result I wandered in entirely the wrong direction, towards the ski slopes where most places were shut at 8.30 p.m. It would have been very helpful to have been told a small store was just 5 mins away on foot, just as it would have been very helpful to have been presented with a map and bus timetables. Yes, these are available (although the bus timetables turned up a few days into my stay) but at most hotels I have stayed at, staff always offer them - it isn't up to the guest to look. The room was ok, although no utensils, cutlery etc to cook with or eat. The shower was nice and large but the water difficult to regulate. The cleaners forgot to clean the room one day. The swimming pool is more the size of a paddling pool. Finally the walls really are paper thin. I was on the ground floor facing the road - I can sleep through traffic but not through people talking in the next room or their television (which was lpouder than mine). the light from their room even came through under the adjoining door and I could smell the popcorn they had bee cooking. All in all I was disappointed for the price paid.
