We really enjoyed our stay here. The two brothers running the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. They made us and our dog very welcome. The room was spacious and comfortable with a patio and view of the lake. Breakfast was very good and there were even sausages for the dog. There was plenty of parking and just a few minutes drive to Bowness-on-Windermere. Good value for money and we would definitely recommend staying here.

My wife and I stayed here on a whim after seeing how beautiful the lake country was. It honestly made the trip. Not only was the setting beautiful but the fun and friendly atmosphere made us feel right at home. The brothers running the hotel were full of charm and warm hospitality. Stay here, you’ll have the best time.

Throughly enjoyed our stay as a family with our dog! Staff were super friendly and so helpful and inviting. The location is great with a beautiful view of the lake. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and would definitely recommend and the breakfast was really tasty. Beds really comfortable and clean! Room has everything you need. Will be back for sure!

Craig and Tommy were excellent welcoming hosts and they couldn’t do enough to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We loved the quirkiness, laid back feel, and atmosphere of the Ryebeck. The food was very good and we wish to pass on our compliments to the chef. The hotel’s location and its views across the Windermere are wonderful. We will certainly look to stay again. We booked the Ryebeck for our 15th Wedding Anniversary, and we were made to feel welcome before we even arrived. Craig and his team made us feel welcome and part of the furniture. They're incredibly attentive and accommodating. The room was clean and very comfortable, with a great shower. The view out over the lake is incredible, and the gardens are lovely for a stroll. Dogs are very welcome and are treated to sausages at breakfast. The Chef might be the best-kept secret ever! We were blown away by how good the food and the menu are. It can change a couple of times a week depending on what the chef can get from local producers. Breakfast was also delightful, and the French toast was unreal! It's a short walk into Bowness with plenty of parking in their car park. We are already looking at dates to book again.

Just got back from an amazing weekend at the Ryebeck, what a fantastic welcoming hotel. Very clean and welcoming. The hotel is ran by Craig and his brother, whom are so welcoming, and have a real nothing is too much trouble attitude. They are so funny, and create a really good welcoming atmosphere. Special shout out to Liam the Barman, who is such a genuine great guy. And adopts the same, nothing is too much trouble attitude Contrary to what Craig constanly stated they really can get the staff I will certainly be back!

A Gem In The Lake District

We found this hotel and it’s an absolute gem! Nestled above Lake Windermere, it has a lovely atmosphere and comfy rooms. We had both dinner and breakfast there and they were both tasty and to a high standard. Staff were friendly and helpful at all times. We would definitely stay there again

Single person whilst very hard working, cheerful and helpful was responsible for the running of the hotel on his own. That means 24 hours of the day and night! There was no dining option on arrival or for the second night. Chef arrived for breakfast only.

Paid for superior room which was very tired and poor furnishings, felt anything but superior. very disappointed for the money we paid. also, booked room for three, when arrived, a room for 2 was allocated. Wouldn't return. however bar and restaurant was good

We stayed at the Ryebeck Hotel on Saturday, 25th October, at a cost of £428. The location is lovely, and the public areas are quaint and nicely presented. However, the rooms were quite small. In both rooms, the windows were open and one wouldn’t close properly. The bathroom radiators didn’t work, so it was cold. We were given two options for breakfast times and chose 9:45 am, not realising the clocks had gone back. When we arrived earlier, we couldn’t be accommodated, and when we returned at the booked time, nothing had been set up for us. Everything therefore took longer than expected — although the food itself was good. At this price point, guests should have a little more flexibility, especially with breakfast times. The manager needs to be more accommodating — when you’re charging premium rates, the customer experience should reflect that.
