Me and a friend booked and paid for an upgraded "premier" room at extra cost. We chose this hotel and this upgraded room since it was supposed to be a bigger room than the standard room, with seating area, mountain view, and our own FIREPLACE (!) - which we thougt would be super nice when being in the forest, and the weather forecast said "rain and cloudy".
When we arrived we were shown a room without a view and without a fireplace. It turned out that they did not even have a fireplace at the property at all. We explained straight away in a polite manner that we wanted to cancel the booking and have our money refunded due to totally wrong information on the web page.
Then it all began: No excuse at all, and all the staff we tried to talk to refused to cancel the booking and make any refund nor to contact hotels.com. Some pretended they did something to help, but that was just a lie as well. They also refused to confirm that we did not stay at the hotel. The athmposphere got quite unpleasant. IF they would have tried to solve the situation, this feedback would not have been given. But they really, really behaved badly!
Also, be aware, the rest of the hotel is not even close to being as nice as shown in the pictures. Total disappointment, especially since they continued lying!
