We don’t speak much Spanish, so it was helpful that the guy that checked us in spoke some English. He was very friendly and took the initiative to tell us about different points of interest in the area, transportation options, etc., without us even asking.
The free daily breakfast, location of the hotel, and daily cleaning of the room were all pluses and much appreciated. The service was overall was pretty good. They were always willing to help, but there were communication barriers because of our inability to speak Spanish. This is not their fault, this is ours.
The only real drawbacks are: it’s the quality of a hostel, not a hotel, so keep this in mind if booking here. Also, the WiFi in the rooms are weak, but it works great in the lobby and common areas.
