Good stay at the Pear Tree Inn!
Staff were great, calling me as I was arriving late and sending across a AVT invoice quickly (as there is no one there on checkout)!
There is no hairdryer in the room - I didnât realise this until the morning and there was no one downstairs to ask!
My Room, was clean comfortable and welcoming.
Had a good night's sleep in a comfortable bed.
Food in the bar (Indian) was among the best I've had, service quick and friendly.
A good stay.
Just as a note the rooms are up steep stairs at the back of the pub which wouldn't be suitable for anyone with a mobility issue
It smelled bad in the hallway areas, and the bed linen smelled like it hadnât been washed properly. The accommodation area was quite depressing, and I wish I had stayed elsewhere.
Excellent location for our day at Hatfield House.
Only one drawback was that we had to enter our rooms via the fire escape which had 2 flights of metal stairs which was quite difficult in the rain carrying suitcases. Otherwise everything else was good. The staff were lovely and very professional.
Highly recommend the Pear Tree Inn. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. They have combined a traditional British pub with an excellent Indian restaurant. The food is lovely. The rooms are clean and comfortable
I spent a night here in December, a bit before Christmas time, during a business trip.
The Inn is on top of a pub but, to my surprise, it is amazingly quiet.
Amazing staff, very friendly and helpful.
The room was clean and well equipped, and it included standard hotel amenities.
The bed was comfortable and the temperature was perfect: I slept better than I have in other more famous hotels.
I also discovered that the Pear Tree Inn has appeared in 2013 movie The World's end.
Overall I had a great stay and I can only recommend the Pear Tree Inn.
Very basic room. Shower drain dirty and would not drain. But staff went above and beyond to help out when a member of the family died at nearby hospice.
