This hotel is very dirty. From the minute you walk into the lobby, you can tell how run down the hotel is. I wanted to give them a chance considering the price we paid, which by the way was not too cheap, but we booked last minute so I wasn't being too picky. Once we went up to our room, I immediately noticed the dirty carpet. My friend checked the bed to see if it was clean and we immediately see bedbugs. They were crawling all over the bed and the table. We left the room and informed the staff. At first, they were denying it then one staff member went upstairs with my friend to check and confirmed with his coworker that he saw bugs. We asked for refund and they told us we would have to wait to get it through Expedia. We said no problem, we'll call Expedia ourselves too. When they saw us contacting Expedia, they immediately refunded us in cash. Once we left the hotel and took our shoes off to clean, the bugs were stuck in our shoes so that means the rooms are filled with them.
I want to point out that the staff was very nice but very shady. It looked like to me that they didn't want Expedia or Hotels.com to know the situation and wanted to keep all of this under wraps. Do yourself a favour and check reviews for cleanliness for every hotel that you book because it is very crucial. I wanted to write this review to help someone else who might experience the same thing or might miss checking like we did and accidentally bring unwanted bugs with them back
